Shivaji – the REAL boss.
Rediff reports:
300-feet Shivaji statue in Mumbai’s Arabian Sea!
A 300-feet high statue of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji will be erected in the Arabian Sea, facing the Marine Drive, in south Mumbai.
Though there are several statues of the revered Maratha king, this huge statue surrounded by a garden and with a museum, will be unique and aims at making it a landmark in the country’s financial capital.
The statue will depict Chhatrapati Shivaji mounted on a horse, like other statues of the warrior dotting the city.
Browsekid reports:
In an unrelated development, Raj Thakre a.k.a Thackeray, protector of the Central Indians against the evil North, South, East and West Indians warned the government that the horse on which the warrior be seated be modeled after a Maharashtrian Horse which neighed in pure Mumbaiyya slang. The evil North Indian horses which chewed away Mumbai fodder and dumped their dung in the same city were unpatriotic towards Mumbai and they could not be symbolized. Lungi clad south Indian horses were deemed risky in the battle, so they were not used anyway. Any representation of a horse in lungi would be met with serious repurcussions warned Raj Thakre in the new video from his hideout.
His uncle and nephew without endorsing his views called for Maratha scientists to invent a new sailor compass that would point towards the nearest North-Indian and promised their paid henchmen and interns free compasses before the next election. The Maharashtra police are rumored to have promised full safety to the compasses when they are out in the market.
In another unrelated development, south Indians mostly from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh wanted a temple for the ‘Shivaji’ star Rajanikanth on the other end of the land mass towards Bay of Bengal and they wanted the opening ceremony to have a complete set of two natural tornadoes on either side of the statue and lightning streaks flashing in the background. They stopped short of asking for a Tsunami as a backdrop, for fear of people staying away from the opening ceremony.
